Cheesy Garlic Grits

Ingredients
- 1 cup regular grits (237 ml)
- 4 cups boiling water (946 ml)
- 1 tsp salt (4.9 ml)
- 6-8 ounces shredded cheese (Four Cheese Mexican blend or cheddar/Monterey Jack)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 eggs
- Milk (to fill remainder of measuring cup after eggs)
Instructions
- Cook grits in boiling salted water until thick.
- Sauté garlic in butter. Add cheese and garlic to grits; stir until melted.
- Break 2 eggs into measuring cup, fill with milk, stir vigorously. Add to grits mixture.
- Pour into 9x12 casserole. Bake 45 minutes at 350°F. Let sit before serving.
Wine Pairing: Medium White (Chardonnay) — Buttery Chardonnay echoes the richness of cheesy grits.
