Ingredients

  • 4 cups water (946 ml)
  • 1/3 cup kosher salt (78.9 ml)
  • 1/3 cup sugar (78.9 ml)
  • 1/4 cup juniper berries (59.1 ml)
  • 2 tbsp black peppercorns (29.6 ml)
  • 4 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Combine water, salt, sugar, juniper berries, peppercorns, and bay leaves in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Stir until sugar and salt dissolve.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool completely before using.
  4. Keeps in fridge up to 2 weeks.
