Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  • 4 (5 oz) cans tuna in water, drained
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 cup red onion, chopped (237 ml)
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 3 tbsp sweet pickle relish (44.4 ml)
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise (177 ml)
  • Spicy mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt (4.9 ml)
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper (2.5 ml)

Instructions

  1. Break tuna into chunks in a bowl.
  2. Add celery, apple, onion, eggs, and relish; mix well.
  3. Add mayonnaise and mustard (if using), salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
  4. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
  5. Serve with crackers, celery sticks, or in a sandwich.
