Cheesy Garlic Grits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup regular grits240 ml regular grits
  • 4 cups boiling water960 ml boiling water
  • 1 tsp salt5 ml salt
  • 6-8 ounces shredded cheese (Four Cheese Mexican blend or cheddar/Monterey Jack)170-225 g shredded cheese (Four Cheese Mexican blend or cheddar/Monterey Jack)

Instructions

  1. Cook grits in boiling salted water until thick.
  2. Sauté garlic in butter. Add cheese and garlic to grits; stir until melted.
  3. Break 2 eggs into measuring cup, fill with milk, stir vigorously. Add to grits mixture.
  4. Pour into 9x12 casserole. Bake 45 minutes at 350°F. Let sit before serving.
