Whiskey Sour

Ingredients
- 45ml bourbon whiskey (1 1/2 oz)
- 25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice (3/4 oz)
- 20ml simple syrup (2/3 oz)
- Few drops of egg white (optional, for a silky foam)
- Ice, for shaking
- Garnish: brandied cherry and an orange slice
Instructions
- Combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using) in a shaker.
- If using egg white, dry-shake (no ice) hard for 10 seconds to emulsify.
- Add ice and shake hard again until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe, or serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with a brandied cherry and an orange slice.
