Ingredients
- 60ml aged Jamaican rum, or a blend of aged rums (2 oz)
- 30ml freshly squeezed lime juice (1 oz)
- 15ml orange curaçao (1/2 oz)
- 15ml orgeat syrup (1/2 oz)
- 7ml simple syrup, or rock candy syrup (1/4 oz)
- Crushed ice
- Garnish: spent lime shell and a fresh mint sprig
Instructions
- Combine rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, orgeat, and simple syrup in a shaker.
- Fill with crushed ice and shake hard for 6-8 seconds.
- Pour the entire contents — ice and all — into a double rocks glass.
- Top with more crushed ice if needed.
- Plant a spent lime shell (from the juiced lime) in the ice and tuck a fresh mint sprig behind it.
