Hummer

Ingredients
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 45ml Kahlúa (1 1/2 oz)
- 45ml Myers's Original Dark rum (1 1/2 oz)
- A couple of ice cubes
- Chocolate syrup, for drizzling the glass
Instructions
- Add ice cream, Kahlúa, dark rum, and a couple of ice cubes to a blender.
- Blend until smooth and pourable.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup inside a chilled rocks or hurricane glass.
- Pour the blended cocktail into the glass.
Family variant — the canonical Bayview Yacht Club Hummer (Jerome Adams, Detroit, 1968) uses 1½ oz LIGHT rum (Bacardi) with no chocolate syrup. The family's dark rum + chocolate is a common modern riff.
