Classic Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1/2 liter red wine (fruity, unoaked)
  • 200g chopped fruit (oranges, lemons, apples, peaches, berries)
  • 1 spoonful sugar (optional)
  • 330ml lemon or orange soft drink
  • 50ml red vermouth
  • Cocktail garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a pitcher with the wine, vermouth, and sugar; stir well.
  2. Toss in the chopped fruit, stir again, and let soak for about 2 hours in the fridge.
  3. When ready to serve, pour in the soft drink and gently mix.
  4. Drop ice cubes into glasses and serve sangria with a splash of whole fruit and garnish.
