Ingredients

  • 45ml bourbon or rye whiskey (1 1/2 oz)
  • 30ml Campari (1 oz)
  • 30ml sweet red vermouth (1 oz)
  • Ice, for stirring
  • Garnish: orange twist

Instructions

  1. Combine bourbon, Campari, and sweet vermouth in a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Stir vigorously for 20 seconds until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe, or over a large ice cube in a double rocks glass.
  4. Express an orange twist over the drink, rub it around the rim, and drop it in.
